Tossd
Tossd is a fast casual restaurant chain offering healthy and chef-driven bowls and salads. They hired me to direct a photoshoot that would use color and an aspirational lifestyle to highlight the healthy nature of their ingredients (eat the rainbow!) and the value they offer in chef-driven, aesthetically presented meals.
About The Project
Tossd uses a wide variety of healthy ingredients in its bowls and salads, often those with bright colors that are indicative of the different nutrients provided, such purple cabbage, tomatoes, blueberries, pickled onions, sweet potato, red bell pepper, carrots, or avocado. They also plate and present the ingredients in their meals in a more aesthetic way than is usual for their price point. They wanted a photoshoot that used on-trend lighting techniques (strong shadows), lots of color in wardrobe and props to tie-in with the colorful and healthy nature of their ingredients, and an aspirational lifestyle to call attention to the aesthetic plating, as well as highlight vitality and health.
